1 The job: The best thing about my job is that it is engaging, has immediacy and involves selling a perishable product. In fact, I have been involved in the sales and marketing of perishable products only, including the likes of newspapers, television and now hotels. The environment and the quality of people and clients we engage with and the satisfaction they receive out of it is motivating.
2 The weekdays: My weekdays begins with a walk with friends, laughter, leg pulling, information sharing and pounding a couple of miles. I reach office early to start my day early and catch the most of productive hours and in the process beat the morning rush too. I like to meet clients in and out of office and interact with the team. I dislike elongated reviews (analysis paralyses) and firmly believe that winners have parties while losers end up in meetings.
3 The weekend: During the weekends I devote a sizeable amount of my time to personal grooming by going to the gym,
spa and salon. A South Indian breakfast and lunch in an alfresco during the winters adds more to that perfect weekend. I have co-founded the NIOC (Northern Indian Off-road Club) and love off-roading with friends in our jeeps in the Aravallis. I also enjoy finding and writing about local exotic food, metaphorically under the value of R100.
4 The toys:Earlier I used to like the Tab, but now I like the iPad. However, I just happen to have a liking for these gadgets and am not really crazy about them. I cherish my 650 CC Hyosung motorbike (Racer), off roading cars including the Pajero and MM 550 Mahindra Jeep (4X4).
5 The logos: I try creating my own sense of style by wearing Bandhgalas and Nehru jackets to office. Other than that, I prefer Timberland for casuals and Corneliani and Canali for formals.
As for my watch, it is an Omega, while my pen is a Mont Blanc and I like wearing Suede shoes. Earlier a Paco Rabanne and Aramis person, I?m now more into L? Occitane. I like experimenting with newer brands.
