Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Holiday – A Soldier is Never Off Duty’ was released on Friday and, in terms of box office collections, it has gone on to conquer a heady space in Bollywood.
This is Akshay Kumar’s first release of 2014 and was expected to take off to a grand start given the fact that the film faced no major competition.
Looking at the opening day figures of ‘Holiday’, the film collected Rs 12.18 crore on Friday, making it the fourth highest Opening Day Grosser of 2014. The first position is held by Salman Khan starrer ‘Jai Ho’ (Rs. 17.55 crore), the second position is held by Ranveer Singh-Arjun Kapoor starrer ‘Gunday’ (Rs.16.12 crore) and the third position is held by Arjun Kapoor starrer ‘2 States’ (Rs. 12.42 crore).
