Arvind Kejriwal targets Mukesh Ambani again, asks Narendra Modi to clarify stand on gas pricing

Arvind Kejriwal asserts his party would not accept any donation from Mukesh Ambani.

Days after resigning as Delhi Chief Minister, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal continued to hit out at Reliance Industries (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani over the gas pricing issue.

Addressing the media in the national capital, Arvind Kejriwal asked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to clarify its stand on the gas pricing issue. Kejriwal said that he had also written a letter to Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi seeking his stand on the issue.

Kejriwal also asserted that his Aam AAdmi Party would not accept any donation from Mukesh Ambani for election funds. Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party had said it was not averse to accepting donations towards party fund from the corporate behemoth if there was “no quid pro quo” involved.

Arvind Kejriwal had earlier attacked Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party for keeping “mum” on the Reliance Industries gas issue in which Mukesh Ambani is among others named in an FIR filed by the Anti-Corruption Branch of the Delhi government.

“Mukesh Ambani’s KG basin scam is one of the biggest scams in the country’s history and much bigger than the Bofors scam,” AAP leader Yogendra Yadav alleged, adding, “It is surprising that Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party have kept mum on the issue.”
