Having completed the ?first phase? of its alliance with Nissan, the Hinduja flagship Ashok Leyland (ALL) will now focus on launching variants of light commercial vehicles (LCVs), the company said. The auto major has plans to launch at least 4-5 variants of its LCVs which have been unveiled during the past two years.
Speaking to reporters after launching two new LCVs ? Partner truck and MiTR bus ? V Sumantran, vice chairman, said: ?We have completed the ?first phase? of our partnership with Nissan. With the launch of two products today, we have the full line-up of products in the LCV segment.?
The next variant will be launched at the upcoming Auto Expo, where the company is planning to launch a tipper version of Dost, which will cater to municipalities. Similarly, a modified version of MiTR is also on the cards.
