Anil Ambani attended the glittering 84th Academy Awards, where three films produced by DreamWorks Studios, his co-venture with Steven Spielberg, were nominated for 11 Oscars.
Ambani's Reliance Entertainment owns a 51 per cent stake at Speilberg's Dream Works Studios, which produced Oscar nominated "The Help", "War Horse" and "Real Steel", making it the first time for an Indian owned movie company to be represented at the Oscar in such a big way.
Octavia Spencer fetched the Oscar for best supporting actress for her performance in "The Help" in which she portrayed big-mouthed maid Minny.
"The Help" directed by debutant director Tate Taylor was nominated across four categories including Best Picture (Brunson Green, Chris Columbus and Michael Barnathan-Producers), Actress in Leading Role (Viola Davis), Actress in Supporting Role (Octavia Spencer and Jessica Chastain)
"The Help" is all set to hit Indian theatres on November 25.
