Dual boot and dual modes are catching the fancy on manufacturers, whether or not it is becoming popular with the buyers. If price was one of the reasons that put off buyers from the 2-in-1 computers could change all that with its affordable price tag.
At Rs 19,990, the new Lenovo IdeaPad A10 is arguably most affordable dual-mode notebook and the first based on Android. It is around Rs 2,000 cheaper than the cheapest Chromebook and could hence woo a lot of first-time computer buyers.
Weighing just one kilogram, A10 comes has a 10-point multitouch and can flip 300 degrees. So it becomes easy to go to a productive laptop mode and consumption friendly stand mode. The company also claims a 10 hours of battery life.
The device is powered by a quad-core Cotex-A9 ARM processor and will run Lenovo’s customised Android 4.2 with 2 GB RAM.
