Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) today unveiled its mid-side MPV Honda Mobilio and the new 3rd generation Honda Jazz at the 12th Auto Expo 2014.
Honda did not disclose the price of Honda Mobilio and Honda Jazz. Both cars will be launched in the Indian market during 2014-15.
Honda Mobilio is the mid-size MPV developed by Honda exclusively for the Asian markets. The Mobilio features a sporty and spacious cabin which can seat seven people in three row configuration.
Showcased in the Indian market for the first time, Japanese auto major aims to target the premium hatchback segment in India with the new Honda Jazz. The new Jazz is built on the original model’s packaging and flexible cargo capability.
Speaking on the occasion, Takanobu Ito, president and CEO, Honda Motor Co, said: “India is one of the most exciting markets for Honda. We have set a challenging sales target of reaching 300,000 units annually by FY’17 in India.”
Apart from these two models, Honda also unveiled Vision XS-1, a crossover utility vehicle in a world premier at the Auto Expo. Other models include NSX Concept and Accord Hybrid.
Honda recently launched its 4th generation City sedan. It also has the successful entry-level sedan Honda Amaze, hatchback Honda Brio and premium SUV Honda CR-V in Indian market.
