Bajaj Auto on Tuesday reported a 8% growth in total sales during August to 3.36 lakh units. It expects to sell 4 lakh units in September. Bajaj?s motorcycle sales grew by 2% to 2.84 lakh units in August.
The company?s total sales growth was pushed up by a 56% rise in commercial vehicle sales. Total CV sales went up to 52,538 units, which the company said was the highest sales for any month.
Discover brand sales went up by 16% to 93,000 units. The company is betting on new Discover 150 to bring up the volumes and recover lost market share. Exports, too, were highest for any month with 1.75 lakh units, which was a 21% growth.
