Accepting the industry demand, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has amended the unified telecom licence to do away with the clause which operators claimed mandated ‘forced migration’ to the new regime. The amended version brings relief to even pureplay internet service providers where most of the players are either mid-size and small companies.

Capital market regulator Sebi has ordered 33 entities to appear before it with regard to probes into various irregularities, after they were found untraceable and show-cause notices issued to them returned undelivered.
