The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, along with BITSAA, its alumni association, announced the commencement of the BITSAA Global Meet (BGM) 2014 in its Golden Jubilee year. Themed on celebrating innovation, achievement and leadership, BGM 2014 saw a congregation of BITSians from across the globe to bring alive a reunion of all BITS Pilani student batches spread across four campuses, five decades and seven continents. BGM 2014 was inaugurated by BN Jain, vice-chancellor, BITS Pilani; VS Rao, director, BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus; Ashok Agarwal, chairman, BGM; Raju Reddy, chairman, BITSAA International; and Sanjay Kendry, CEO, BGM, along with 1,500-plus BITSians and faculty members. The event also saw the unveiling of ?BITS of Success?, a book highlighting the journey of BITSians.

CCS?s Education 2025: Student First held in Delhi

School Choice Campaign, the flagship programme of the Centre for Civil Society, has organised the 5th Annual School Choice National Conference on the theme ?Education 2025: Student First? in Delhi. Over 100 educationists and policy experts took part in the conference, deliberating on the education system in India and the innovation and planning needed to reach Vision 2025?where students are at the centre of the education system.
