How do I get a insurance cover for post-operation medical cost?

? Gopal Saxena

Most health insurance policies provide post-hospitalisation cover as part of the policy benefits. This means that the health insurance policy will take care of treatment expenses after discharge from the hospital. Certain policies also cover domiciliary treatment as an additional coverage. Generally, health insurance policies cover post-hospitalisation expenses for a period ranging from 30 days to 90 days after discharge. You should check with your insurance company regarding availability of post-hospitalisation cover and the duration for which the treatment expenses will be considered.
