Caustic soda prices declined by Rs 50 per 50 kg in the national capital today due to reduced offtake by consuming industries against fresh arrivals from producing regions.

Caustic soda flake fell by Rs 50 to Rs 1,900-2,050 per 50 kg. Traders said subdued demand from consuming industries against increased arrivals from producing belts mainly pulled down caustic soda prices.

The following are today’s quotations: Ammonium chloride (50 kg) Rs 850- ,200, acetic acid (1kg) Rs 45-50, ammonia bicarb (25 kg) Rs 450-700, boric acid technical (50 kg) Rs 5,500-6,000, borex granular (50 kg) Rs 2,400-2,800.
