The two wings of Daimler Trucks Asia (DTA) ? Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) and Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) ? on Wednesday announced important personnel changes in their boards. Since August 2013, both the Asian entities have been closely working with each other under the DTA umbrella.
As part of the changes, Marc Llistosella, currently managing director & CEO, Daimler India, will become head of marketing, sales & after-sales, Trucks Asia & DICV, effective June 1 and will be based out of Tokyo, Japan. He will continue to report to Albert Kirchmann, president & CEO of MFTBC and head of Daimler Trucks Asia.
Llistosella has been leading DICV since the planning phase, and the company has now become a fully established player in the Indian CV market.
Erich Nesselhauf, currently vice-president (supply chain management), DICV, will become managing director & CEO of DICV, effective June 1, 2014, replacing Marc and will be based in India. He has been involved in DICV?s greenfield project since 2008.
Kai-Uwe Seidenfuss, currently MFTBC senior vice-president (sales & after-sales), will become head of corporate audit at Daimler AG, effective June 1, 2014.
These changes have been decided by the Daimler AG board, but as a formality are still subject to the approval by the shareholders? meeting and board meeting in MFTBC.
Changes at VW
Michael Mayer, 45, has been appointed as director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, and will be taking over as brand head for Volkswagen Passenger Cars in India on June 1, 2014. He was earlier responsible for market planning of Volkswagen Passenger Cars European Sales Division, located in Wolfsburg, Germany.
