Low-cost airline GoAir is effecting changes in its top management. Sources said Jehangir Mehta, vice-president, Inflight and CRM, quit in January while chief commercial officer Girish Nair is about to leave soon. Both Mehta and Nair have cited ‘personal reasons’ for quitting.
Meanwhile, the contract of CEO Giorgio De Roni, which was due to expire in May, has been renewed.
SpiceJet revamped its senior management last year after it hired former Bain consultant Sanjiv Kapoor as its chief operating official. It also hired former AirAsia executive Kaneswaran Avili as chief commercial officer and R Neelkantan as cfo. The position of CEO is still vacant.
