A Delhi court has summoned Kingfisher Airlines chairman Vijay Mallya after the GMR-led Delhi International Airport (DIAL), which runs the Indira Gandhi International Airport, approached it as a cheque for R1 crore wasn?t honoured.

Disposing of the application seeking issuance of directions for arraigning Mallya as an accused in the case, Metropolitan Magistrate Arul Varma has asked Mallya to appear before him on February 14.

He noted that nowhere it was denied or refuted that Mallya was not the Managing Director of the accused company. ?It is well settled that the mind and will of a company are to be construed from the mind and will of the person who has controlled it. Thus, by virtue of his controlling position in the accused company, Vijay Mallya is prima facie deemed to be incharge of its affairs…?
