‘DG office in CCI should have direct recruits’

Chauhan’s three-year tenure as DG in CCI will end soon.

In the backdrop of a nearly 60% shortage of staff in the office of the director-general (DG) in the CCI, the investigative arm of the CCI, the outgoing DG, AK Chauhan, has said it will be better if provisions for direct recruitments of talent could be made. Currently, all posts within the DG office are filled via people coming on deputation. Chauhan’s three-year tenure as DG in CCI will end soon.
