‘Dhoom 3’, the much-awaited third film in Dhoom series starring Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif, has got off to a fabulous start.
Dhoom 3’s morning shows on Friday witnessed 95-100 per cent occupancy across the country. While some other successful films too have had a great start this year, reports suggest that ‘Dhoom 3’ has managed a never seen before advance booking rate in almost all territories, with even Sunday shows being sold to a 90 per cent occupancy.
According to reports, ‘Dhoom: 3’ is likely to enter the elite Rs 100 crore club over the weekend itself. The film just might be able to break the records set earlier this year by ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Krrish 3’.
‘Dhoom: 3’ has released across approximately 4,500 plus screens (including Tamil and Telugu versions).

Records ‘Dhoom 3’ intends to break

Highest Single Day Collections (India): Another record established this year in terms of Highest Single Day collections is by the Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Krrish 3’ that collected Rs. 35.91 crores.
Opening Weekend (India): Again ‘Chennai Express’ set a new record becoming the Highest Opening Weekend Grosser raking in Rs. 100.42 crores (counting paid previews).
First Week (India): On the other hand, the Highest First Week Collections record is held by ‘Krrish 3’ that collected Rs. 166.52 crores.
Highest Grosser of 2013 (India): ‘Krrish 3’ became the Highest Grosser of 2013 collecting Rs. 244.47 crores since its release.
All Time Highest Grosser (India): Krrish 3 is also the Highest Grossing film in the history of Bollywood collecting Rs. 244.47 crores.
All Time Highest Grosser (USA): Within the US market, Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’ holds the record of being the All Time Highest Grosser (USA) collecting USD 65,33,849.
All Time Highest Grosser (UK): ‘My Name Is Khan’ featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol retains the record of being the All Time Highest Grosser (UK) with collections of Pounds 26,26,608.
Opening Weekend (USA): ‘Chennai Express’ that collected USD 24,16,513 is currently the Highest Opening Weekend Grosser in USA.
Opening Weekend (UK): ‘My Name Is Khan’ that collected Pounds 10,69,483 in its opening weekend is the Highest Opening Weekend Grosser in the UK.
Opening Week (USA): ‘3 Idiots’ holds the title of being the Highest Opening Week Grosser in the USA with collections standing at USD 32,62,536.
Opening Week (UK): ‘Chennai Express’ that collected Pounds 13,68,967 reigns as the Highest Opening Week Grosser in the UK.
