Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Saturday directed all district administrations in the state to ensure that the supply of essential items is not disrupted and that the public are not inconvenienced due to the heavy snowfall and rains. Currently at Jaipur for the Congress’ Chintan Shivir, Virbhadra directed the concerned authorities to ensure that drinking water, electricity, food grains and other essential services were made available to the people.
The chief minister said all out efforts were being made to ensure availability of all essential supplies and services to the people. He directed the immediate clearance of snow from the roads to facilitate the smooth movement of vehicular traffic. Virbhadra further said that adequate stocks of essential commodities had already been provided to meet requirements of tribal and other remote areas during the winter season.
