Ficci, US firms discuss road map for better ties

Top officials from industry body Ficci met chiefs of US companies based in India including GE, United Technologies Corporation, Lockheed Martin, Honeywell International, Boston Scientific, Boeing and Deloitte, to thrash out the challenges faced by both the Indian and US firms.

India-US ties sank to a new low with the arrest of former Indian deputy consul-general Devyani Khobragade last year. The crisis was followed by strains in trade ties. While the USFDA banned the fourth plant of Ranbaxy, US trade lobbies and USTR initiated proceedings against Indian IPR regime and policies.
