E-commerce player Flipkart on Wednesday launched Flipkart First, a service which offers customers exclusive benefits and priority services for an annual membership of R500.
The company is offering a plethora of services like free shipping of orders, free in-a-day guarantee delivery, same-day-guarantee delivery at 50% discount and priority customer service to the subscribers of this service.
According to the Flipkart?s website, the benefits will be available only on purchases made from WS Retail, one of the sellers on Flipkart?s marketplace.
The company sold its front-end operations company WS Retail Services to investors led by former OnMobile COO Rajiv Kuchhal in February last year. The service Flipkart is offering is similar to what e-commerce majors across the world do for their regular customers.
