Biyani, along with a core team of professionals will review their pitch note and make the final decision.

Biyani, says, ?Whether it is a family-owned business or an individual set up, little nuggets of success stories often emerge from a diverse economy as ours. This initiative is an opportune way of determining untapped talent in the business sector of our country. We will be identifying some of the most skilled entrepreneurial set ups from small towns and cities and judge the contestants on the basis of innovation and unique business plans.?

The small and medium enterprise (SME) in India constitutes to almost 40% of the Indian economy. Though it may be unorganised at certain levels, it helps creates jobs for the rural segment. The show aims to identify and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit among the various SMEs in India and help them realise their true potential.

Elaborating upon the selection procedure of the show, Neel Chowdhury, VP, Marketing, CNBC-TV 18 and CNBC AWAAZ said, ?The show will have six activities or rounds, where six individuals will present their cases and will argue why their projects should be considered for funding. Of the 2,000 entries we have received, we will first shortlist 1,000 entries, and from there on, trim the list to 100 contestants. Several rounds will see the number of participants coming down to 25.?

A strong marketing campaign has also been lined up to promote the show so as to attract participation. ?We have devised a 360? marketing line up and will be using TV, radio, and print effectively to tap metros, big cities and especially smaller towns,? mentions Chowdhury. In order to connect with the audience and prospective entrepreneurs the panel of judges will travel to various cities namely Ahmedabad, Ludhiana and Hyderabad, and hold discussion on ?growth in challenging times?. Future Group will invest in the winner?s business and Biyani himself will be playing the role of a mentor and help the entrepreneur to take their business to new heights.

However, Biyani points out that he will only be mentoring the winner. ?The winner will not be entitled to financial support or funding for supporting their business but will get access to expertise for taking their business to the next level,? he clarifies.
