Talking to Chai Point founder Amuleek Singh Bijral, he said, “the Chai Point mantra from its inception has been to go after the ritual of chai. The last mile delivery of chai, in a country, which is one of the largest producer and importer of tea, is broken. The omni-channel approach adopted by us has enabled the Company to be in the fast growth trajectory. Being able to establish a multi-platform oriented business has presented us with multi-fold growth opportunities in the seven cities that we are currently present in. ”

Accounting for 134 companies in the list Tokyo emerged as the top city, followed by Mumbai (60) and Sydney (52). While the list had majority of technology companies, the minority included industrial goods and healthcare.

Considered companies were based out of 11 of the region’s more developed markets: Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan.

FT quoted, “As well as those who applied directly, Statista examined the official revenue data of more than 14,000 public companies in the 11 participating territories to find suitable entrants. In the next step all companies that met the criteria were added to the list.”
