Adding to the list of star kids making their debut in Hindi films, is Govinda’s daughter Narmmadaa Ahuja. The 20 something girl will make her foray opposite popular Punjabi singer and actor Gippy Grewal who has done films like Bhaji In Problem and Jatt James Bond. The still untitled film is a romantic with doses of comedy and will be helmed by another popular Punjabi name Smeep Kang who has directed Bhaji In Problem and Carry on Jatta.
For Narmmadaa it was a chance meeting with the duo at a social event, who were also thinking along the lines of making their debut in Hindi films. Weeks of discussions later a script was finalised.
?The best thing about the film is that the subject. I had seen Smeep?s Carry On Jatta and had really liked it. Both Gippy and Smeep are superstars in Punjab with a massive fan following, and they are not going to make something ordinary. My debut film will be made on a large canvas and will be extraordinary. With Gippy?s penchant for music, ( he sang Angrezi beat te with Honey Singh) the tracks of the film are going to be fabulous,? said Narmmadaa who recently completed an acting course at the London Film Institute.
As for Govinda?s approval of her debut film, the star daughter says that he does not interfere when it comes to her work. ?He was in London when I met up with Smeep and when I signed the film he was in Tampa. But he is definitely aware of the project that I have signed,? said Narmmadaa who is grooming herself in every possible way for her launch film.
