Terming terrorism and security as challenges before the world, British Prime Minister David Cameron on Monday underscored the need for bringing together various arms of government at one table to deal with it.
“I think security is going to be one of the challenges of our times...When we are considering, for instance the problems of terrorism, it’s very important that you have your interior minister, your intelligence services, your policing services, but also your foreign office, your military all round the table considering what has happened with this terrorist attack. Including, for instance, the terrorism you suffered in Mumbai,” he said. Calling for adopting smarter means to deal with terrorism while hosting big events, he said, “You obviously have to put a very strong security response...But you have also got to be more creative, more imaginative and think as well about how we can get different communities to live and work together.”
Cameron was responding to questions during an interaction with the Hindustan Unilever staff.
