‘Gunday’ box office collections make Rs 100 crore cut

‘Gunday’ box office collections continue to do well at single screens in its second week.

After a flying start, Ranveer Singh-Priyanka Chopra starrer continued to perform well throughout the week, with ‘Gunday’ box office collections for the first week coming up to Rs 82 crore nett. It, however, has already touched the Rs 100-crore mark worldwide.

‘Gunday’ box office collections continue to do well at single screens in its second week, but faces tough competition from Highway at the plexes.

Another expert Vinod Mirani believes the male bonding theme worked for the film, says, ?Gunday proved again that films on male bonding, friendships don?t usually fail. Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor have consolidated their positions.?

‘Gunday’ opened well to good reviews from both audiences and critics alike. Gunday box office collections had been a good Rs 54.93 crore net in India in the first five days after its release, surprising analysts and laymen alike with its successful run.

‘Gunday’ box office collections on opening day were Rs 16.12 crore followed by Rs 12.63 crore and Rs 15.18 crore on the weekend. However, the second weekend figures have dipped considerably in domestic as well as international markets.
