Earlier, speculation about Ranbir Kaboor reviving the RK banner and Imran Khan planning to revive his grandfather Nasir Hussains film banner were rife.
While the actors have yet to put their plans into action, Harish Sugandh, brother of producer Jhamu Sughandh, who had pro- duced films like 'Rangeela', 'Bombay', 'Chachi 420' is planning to revive his brothers banner Jhamu Sughand Productions.
The 2008, Bengali film 'Janmadata' was the last film produced under Sugandhs banner, who had passed away following a massive cardiac arrest.
A source working on one of the projects said, Harish has begun work on a new film, which should go on floor this year.
Interestingly, for their first project, titled 'AB Aur Baby', the Sugandhs are planning to rope in Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.
The team has already spoken to Mr Bachchan who has shown interest in the project. The production team is in the process of having a script narration session with him. Once he approves the script, things shall proceed in full swing, reveals the source.
While Bachchan will play the central character, the rest of the cast will be finalised soon.
According to the source, the project will be helmed by Samir Karnik, who has earlier directed films like 'Kyun! Ho Gaya Na'.
