Country's second largest telecom operator Vodafone India expects better administration and more transparency in business under Narendra Modi-led NDA government.
"We are very happy that we see a new government coming with a very clear mandate, a government that clearly seems to have business as part of its strategy to drive the country forward," Vodafone India Managing Director & CEO Marten Pieters told PTI.
He said the company has witnessed the good governance in Gujarat, where it is a market leader and hopes that from now onwards, it will be an upward trend for the company.
"With the experience of the leader of the government in Gujarat, where we are market leaders as a operator, we have seen what it means to get good governance, what it means to have better administration and more transparency, etc, so we are very hopeful that from hereon we can go upwards again," Pieters said.
The Vodafone India head said hope is high now with the new government coming with a strong mandate and he is sure that the new government will quickly start to address some of the blocking factors for stronger economic growth.
The NDA got clear majority in the recently held Lok Sabha elections. The BJP-led NDA coalition has staked claim for forming the government and Modi will take oath on May 26 as India's 15th Prime Minister.
