Itís official. The title of Siddharth Anandís new venture based on the adaptation of the Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz starrer Knight And Day has indeed titled Bang Bang. The film pairs up Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif again, after Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Though the director confirmed the title, he refused to comment anything more on the action thriller. The film is slated to go on the floors in

February this year.

Biswas, Gilani as central characters in Baromas

Seema Biswas and Benjamin Gilani play the central characters in Baromas, a movie based on the Sahitya Academy award winning Marathi novel of the same name. The story is set in Vidarbha district in Maharashtra, which has been in news for the maximum number of farmer suicides. It is directed by debutant Dhiraj Meshram, a Film and Television Institute of India graduate. Baromas, whose cast includes theater actors from Vidarbha, was invited to Osians Cinefan and SAIFF New York; itís slated for a theatrical release in 2013.

RGVís The Attacks of 26/11 at Berlin Film Festival

Ram Gopal Varmaís The Attacks of 26/11 will be screened at the Berlin International Film Festival 2013, February 7 to 17, 2013. The film will be screened in both the Panorama as well as the Competition section. The shooting of the film was recently wrapped up and is presently in post-production. The climax of the film was changed when the accused Ajmal Kasab, played by Sanjeev Jaiswal was hanged after a long drawn trial. The Attacks Of 26/11 which has Nana Patekar playing a cop, is produced by Alumbra Entertainment and Eros International. The film will release on March 1.

Ramesh Sippy recommended for Padma Shri

Veteran film producer and director Ramesh Sippyís name has been recommended by the selection committee of Padma awards for a Padma Shri. The award is the fourth highest civilian award after the Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan awarded by the Government of India for distinguished service in a field, in this case itís art. Sippy did not want to comment till the final list is announced on January 26. ďI think it is only correct to give a reaction when my name is on the final list,Ē said Sippy, who directed the 1972 classic Sholay.
