Durga Shakti Nagpal has found herself at the centre of another row, with an SP leader alleging that the IAS officer had him thrown out of her office.
Durga Shakti Nagpal, who is posted as Chief Development Officer in Mathura, was suspended last year for ordering the demolition of a wall of an under-construction mosque at Kadalpur village in Gautam Budh Nagar.
The incident reportedly took place when Jageshwar Yadav, a local SP leader, had gone to meet Nagpal to discuss re-boring of handpumps in his area. ?The work is pending for the past two years. I had gone to meet Nagpal with four others. As she was doing some work, we took a seat and started discussing the issue among ourselves,? Jageshwar told The Indian Express. He claimed that Nagpal suddenly lost her cool and said they cannot talk in her office without her permission.
?We politely said that we were only discussing things for presenting before her and that it is a government office,? Jageshwar said. He alleged that Nagpal then called her security guard and had all of them thrown out of the office.
Jageshwar, along with Kishore Singh, former district president of SP?s Mathura unit, and several other local leaders met District Magistrate B Chandrakala and SSP Manzil Saini to apprise them of the incident.
