Stating economic growth in India has always been ‘inclusive’ in the UPA regime, Finance Minister P Chidambaram said the country has achieved highest ever growth in the last ten years under the Congress-ruled government at Centre.

?I challenge any party to point out any other time when we have achieved this level of growth,? said Chidambaram during speech day-long AICC session here

The finance minister said growth has always been ‘inclusive’ in the UPA regime as it believes in inclusive development.

?Our idea of India is that everyone is equal… growth leads to inclusive development and everyone gets social justice, Chidambaram added.

On Thursday, Chidambaram had said that India will return to a high growth path within three years “step by step”, backed by global recovery and measures undertaken by the government to push investments.
