Dhoni is one Test short of breaking Sourav Ganguly's record of 21 wins.
M S Dhoni and his men decimated the Australians in the first Test in Chennai on Tuesday by eight wickets, thereby taking a 1-0 lead in the four-match series. The first Test has already set the tone for a fierce competition between India and Australia.
Captain Dhoni led from the front by hitting a double ton and silenced his critics with this master innings. He was under tremendous pressure to perform in this match as the captain was not amongst the runs and his captaincy was also loosing sheen in the recent past. The series loss to England was the wake up call for him. With the Chennai innings, Dhoni managed to reclaim his 'captain-cool' tag.
The current Australian team is being called the underdogs, but the past rivalries between the two teams reassure that the Aussies will certainly bounce back.
Now all eyes are on Sachin Tendulkar who has scored more runs than the current Australian team has against India. He has hit 11 centuries against Australia - maximum against any country.
