Indian Hotels to bring US, SA properties to profitability: Tata

The $83-billion Tata Group-owned Indian Hotels Company, which runs the Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces, is taking measures to put its US and South African properties on the path to profitability.

The $83-billion Tata Group-owned Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), which runs the Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces, is taking measures to put its US and South African properties on the path to profitability. The company operates three hotels in the US in New York, Boston and San Francisco and one in Capetown, South Africa.

Addressing shareholders on the 111th AGM of the company held in Mumbai on Friday, Ratan Tata, chairman of IHCL said, ??The American hotels and the one in South Africa are areas of concern. These have to be made profitable.??
