‘Infiniti’ live-aboard, a luxury super-yacht fully equipped for onboard living and cruising in the open sea in Barren Island, Andaman celebrated this Republic Day with style. The Indian tricolour was hoisted at the deep, dark seabed by volcanic divers at Barren Island. The ‘Infiniti’ was decked up in all the A to Z flags, with the India tricolour flying proudly. The national anthem was sung onboard by all guests and crew, Indian and foreign nationals alike.
Barren Island is the only active volcano in South East Asia. Scuba diving in the waters surrounding Barren Island is a visual treat. The volcanic eruption has covered almost everything underwater and the thick layer of black sand, creates an unusual landscape to explore with solidified lava flow making underwater cliffs and canyons. Tunas and sharks swim along the black walls which plunge to over 500 meters. As the heavy black sand sinks to the bottom, visibility here can exceed 50 meters and marine animals as rare and distinctive as Manta Rays and Hammerhead Sharks can be spotted.
Karina Tourism and Adventures is the owner of ‘Infiniti’ which made its first trip around mid of September 2013. The launch of Infiniti has given a new dimension to Indian sea adventure tourism/scuba diving community. It also helps to explore and capture the visuals of untouched and unexplored Andamans.
