Infosys’ Kris Gopalakrishnan trust to invest Rs 225 crore to set up brain research centre

Pratiksha Trust, IISc have announced a collaboration to establish a centre for brain research in Bangalore.

The charitable trust, Pratiksha Trust, started by Infosys Ltd vice-chairman Kris Gopalakrishnan and his wife Sudha Gopalakrishnan will grant a sum of Rs 225 crore over a period of 10 years towards establishment and functioning of brain research centre in Bangalore.

Pratiksha Trust and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) on Thursday announced the collaboration.

?By funding and creating this centre with IISc, we are working towards creating a world-class research facility that will be at the cutting-edge of research on the human brain,? said Kris Gopalakrishnan, trustee, Pratiksha Trust.
