Jagan case: N Srinivasan, India Cements named in CBI chargesheet

Agency has alleged India Cements invested up to Rs 140 cr in Jagan’s companies in quid pro quo basis.

BCCI chief N Srinivasan has been named in one of the three chargesheets filed by the CBI on Tuesday in a special court in a corruption case involving YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The chargesheets were filed against three firms: India Cements, which is promoted by Srinivasan, Penna Cements and Bharathi (Raghuram Cements).

According to Ashok Reddy, counsel for Jagan, the CBI informed the court that the final three chargesheets in the case will be filed in the next two to three days. The agency alleges that India Cements invested up to Rs 140 crore in Jagan’s companies as quid pro quo for water allotted to its plants in Nalgonda and Tandur in Ranga Reddy district when Jagan?s father YSR Reddy was CM of Andhra Pradesh.
