Jet Airways to start direct daily services from Kozhikode to Dammam

Jet Airways will become the country’s first pvt airline to operate over 50 daily flights to multiple destinations.

Jet Airways (India) Ltd has announced the addition of a daily direct flight from Kozhikode to Dammam in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This new Boeing 737 flight effective June 10, 2014, will strengthen the airlines international network and enhance flight connectivity in the Gulf.

Jet Airways flight 9W 578 will depart Kozhikode at 22:00 hrs and arrive into Dammam at 00:00 hrs (local time). The return flight 9W 577 will depart Dammam at 10:20 (LT) and arrive at Kozhikode at 17:15 hrs. The airline will deploy a Boeing 737-800 aircraft on this new service, offering premiere and economy guests.

Gaurang Shetty, senior vice-president – commercial, Jet Airways, said, ?We are confident that the direct service from Kozhikode to Dammam will prove popular with our guests. Introduction of this flight is an important landmark in the emergence of the airline as India?s premier international airline, as we will now operate over 126 daily flights to key international destinations.?

Kozhikode will be the third destination in Kerala after Kochi and Thiruvanathapuram to have a daily direct service to Dammam and in all Jet Airways will now operate eight flights daily from India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Currently Jet Airways operates daily flights to Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Doha, Muscat and Sharjah from Kochi while Kuwait is connected via Abu Dhabi. Jet Airways also operates a daily flight to Dammam and Muscat from Thiruvananthapuram.

Jet Airways to start Kozhikode-Dammam flights from June 10

(PTI) Private carrier Jet Airways (India) Ltd today said it will start a daily direct flight to Dammam in Saudi Arabia from Kozhikode starting June 10 to expand its international network.

Kozhikode will be the third destination in Kerala after Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram to have a daily direct service to Dammam, which will be serviced by the new Boeing 737 aircraft, Jet Airways said in a statement here.

With the launch, the Mumbai-based carrier will operate eight flights daily from India to Saudi Arabia, making it the largest domestic operator in the region, it said.

Currently, the airline operates daily services from Kochi to Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Doha, Muscat and Sharjah, while Kuwait is connected via Abu Dhabi. It also operates a daily flight to Dammam and Muscat from Thiruvananthapuram.

With these new flights, Jet Airways will become the country’s first private airline to operate over 50 daily flights to multiple destinations in the Gulf, according to the statement.

This includes daily departures to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Sharjah, Muscat, Jeddah, Dammam and Riyadh.
