Jowar prices edged up in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market today on scattered buying.
However, other grains including wheat and rice basmati moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said scattered buying support mainly helped jowar prices to trade higher.
In the national capital, jowar yellow and white edged up to Rs 1425-1450 and Rs 2250-2450 from previous level of Rs 1425-1435 and Rs 2225-2425 per quintal respectively.
