Women, in the recent times, have proved that they are no lesser than men in the corporate world—women are now managing top positions in various companies. Arundhati Bhattacharya has become the first woman chief of India’s largest bank, State Bank of India (SBI). In fact, SBI got its first woman chair in its 206 years. This should be a matter of pride for every Indian. And how wonderful will this beginning be if we were to follow the old Chinese proverb: “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.” Good luck to her on her new assignment.
