Padmavat teaser released: Deepika Padukone starrer Padmavat is all set to release on January 25 after fighting a long battle with fringe outfits and even CBFC. However, before movie fans get to enter cinema halls to watch the tale of valour and bravery on the silver screen, the filmmakers have released first dialogue promo of the movie. In the thirty-second video, movie buffs are left re-assured that Ranveer Singh, who plays the role of Sultan Allaudin Khilji, would play his character with perfection.

The promo starts with a monologue by Ranveer. he is heard pointing out the dream of the Khilji Dynasty to rule the world. However, cutting him in between is Rajput king Maharawal Ratan Singh, the role played by Shahid Kapoor. He says, “Keh dijiye apne sultan se, unki talwaar se zyada loha hum suryavanshiyon ke seene mein hai (inform your king, there is more power in the hearts of Suryavanshis than his swords).” The monologues of the two lead actors of the film have made the wait for Padmavat’s release even more exciting.

A day after Supreme Court cancelled the ban order of four states on screening of the film, The top court on Friday also rejected a plea for urgent hearing on a fresh PIL requesting for the quashing of CBFC certificate given to Padmavat. A three-judge bench in the court said, “The Court has to function as a constitutional court and it has already yesterday in its interim order said that states can’t block a movie from screening,” Indian Express said.

On Thursday, the top court in its verdict had also said that other states must also not ban the release of the film. While, accepting arguments of senior advocate Harish Salve, who was representing the filmmakers of padmavat, that after the film is cleared by the CBFC, states cannot interfere with it. In response, the apex court said, “We direct that there shall be a stay of operation on the notification and orders issued and we also restrain other states from issuing such notifications or orders in this matter… Once Parliamentary legislation confers the responsibility and power on a statutory board and board grants certificate, non-exhibition of it by states will be contrary to statutory provisions.”
