Mustard oil prices rose by Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on pick-up in local demand in view of festive season.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in restricted buying and settled around previous levels.
Traders said pick-up in local demand driven by festive season mainly led to rise in mustard oil prices.
In the national capital, mustard expeller oil (Dadri) rose by Rs 50 to Rs 8,300 per quintal.

Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,100-1,250.
