India is at a turning point where technology will play an important role, said BJP?s PM candidate and Gujarat CM Narendra Modi while inaugurating Tata Consultancy Services’ (TCS) Garima Park campus in Gandhinagar on Saturday. Modi appealed to IT technocrats to work for technological interventions that can change the life of the poor and lead every sector of society towards progress. ?IT should be used to its maximum potential and common man should be empowered,? he said after inaugurating the country’s largest software firm’s state-of-the-art 10,000-seat facility, which took almost eight years to complete after its foundation stone was laid on February 1, 2006.
Cyrus Mistry, chairman, Tata Group, said, ?This is another chapter in the growing relationship between Tata Group and the state of Gujarat. I’m proud to say TCS has been at the forefront of making Gujarat an IT destination.?
