While directors and musicians are opting for role reversals, a few actors are now exploring new routes in their career.
Apart from focussing on their acting projects, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma have donned the hat of a producer in their upcoming ventures, Jagga Jasoos and NH10 respectively, in which they will also be playing the lead roles.
Kapoor has partnered with Anurag Basu to start Picture Shuru Productions, and the Jagga Jasoos franchise will be the first venture under their banner and the film will be directed by Basu.
Sharma has joined hands with brother Karnesh for their production company, Clean Slate films.
Sharma has been cast opposite Neil Bhoopalam in NH10, that is directed by Navdeep Singh of Manorama Six Feet Under fame.
Walt Disney Studios have teamed up with Anil Kapoor Film company to back Sonam Kapoor’s Khoobsurat, that is a remake of the popular 1980 comedy film starring Rekha.
The studio has backed the film as it meets the standards of a Disney venture, complete with wholesome family entertainment.
With this film, the company is all set to present a new Disney princess in the form of fashionista Kapoor, who will be seen in a simple and girly look in the film.
The actress plays the role of Mili, an exuberant girl who turns the lives of a royal family upside down with her antics.
Director Shashank Ghosh will be giving unexpected fun and colourful twists to the original script.

Sushant Singh Rajput will play one of Bengali literature’s most popular fictional characters created by author Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, detective Byomkesh Bakshy.
Banerjee had earlier mentioned that his film titled Detective Byomkesh Bakshy will capture the old world charm of Kolkata.
Currently, Rajput has taken a break to work on his look and character for the film, which includes a moustache, 1940’s inspired puffed hairstyle, perfecting the Bengali dialect, body language of a detective among others.
In Shaikh’s Bobby Jasoos, Vidya Balan plays a smart detective, who shall be seen in several disguises.
Recently, the actress was spotted in the guise of a
