Nikon on Tuesday announced that its new D3300 and AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 VR II kit lens will become available in India from February 2014.
The D3300 is a 24.2 MP camera that will feature a lightweight body making it easy to handle for first-time DSLr users. The DX-format CMOS sensor in the camera will come with the latest EXPEED 4 image processing system and will have the instructive Guide Mode that makes Nikon's entry DSLRs a popular choice for novices.
The other advanced features include a 5 frames-per-second high-speed continuous shooting mode, maximum ISO of 12800 and Full HD movie recording with 1080/60p support. The D3300 is also equipped with 0.85× high-magnification viewfinder and supports a Wireless Mobile Adapter WU-1a.
The AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR, which will debut with the camera, will be the first lens for Nikon SLR cameras to offer a retractable lens mechanism that reduces overall size by a third.
The pricing of the camera and lens has not yet been announced.
