Price falls in five and four star hotels benefitted Indians: Survey

As per the HPI report, Indians have benefitted from price falls in five and four star hotels in 2013.

As per the Hotel Price Index (HPI) report by Hotels.com, Indians have benefitted from price falls in five star and four star hotels around the world in the first half of 2013. The report reveals that London saw the steepest fall at 20 per cent for five-star hotel rooms, falling to INR 22,653. Moreover, Indian capital city of New Delhi saw the second steepest fall down to 14 per cent at INR 9,433 followed by Mumbai down 10 per cent to INR 10,123 for five-star rooms.

Zurich led the way in the four-star range, sliding 14 per cent to INR 10,644, followed by San Francisco seeing an 11 per cent drop to INR 12,511. Other European fallers were Prague, down 10 per cent to INR 5,727, Amsterdam down eight per cent to INR 9,959 and Berlin down five per cent to INR 6,959. Two Indian cities also featured in this category with Delhi down 10 per cent to INR 6,612 and Mumbai down five per cent to INR 7,343.
