Earlier we had reported that Priyanka Chopra will be joining hands with Madhur Bhandarkar after their last film Fashion (2008) won National Awards. The actress will be seen playing the lead once again in a social drama titled Madamji and she has also revealed that she will be co-producing the film along with Madhur's Bhandarkar Entertainment and Ram Mirchandani's Rampage Motion Pictures.

Excited with the idea of being involved in every aspect of filmmaking, Priyanka Chopra has now joined the likes of Anushka Sharma who too turned producer with NH10. Madamji will be produced under Priyanka Chopra's Purple Pebble Pictures. Expressing her love for cinema, Priyanka stated that she is in love with the process, the creativity, the magic that movies create and she is looking forward to the learning, the madness and the creative satisfaction that she will get when the film comes alive.

Further revealing about her new venture with Madhur Bhandarkar, Priyanka Chopra was all praises for this filmmaker who has a vision of what he wants. Mentioning about the intriguing elements that Madhur adds to his storyline, Priyanka stated that she shares a wonderful working relationship with the director and post the success of Fashion, the actress is optimistic about this association and also, maintained that she is very thrilled to present Madamji to the world.

Madamji is a woman-oriented film revolving around the life of an item girl who climbs up the ladder of success as she traces her journey towards becoming a top notch politician. The film is slated to go on floor in October. Prior to this, Madhur Bhandarkar had given us a glimpse of the murky world of politics in the Raveena Tandon starrer Satta.
