Unitech arm sells stake in 6 projects for R2,000 cr

Unitech Corporate Parks, a Unitech Group firm listed in London, on Wednesday said it will sell its entire 60% stake in six IT SEZ/Park projects in India to global realty firm Brookfield for over R2,000 crore. In a filing to LSE, Unitech Corporate Parks said it has entered into an agreement with Brookfield Property Partners for the sale of the assets. The remaining 40% in the six projects lies with Unitech, which has also sold its complete holding in four of the projects to Brookfield for over R1,500 crore.

Future Retail to raise R2,000 cr to pare debt

Future Retail on Wednesday said it will raise funds up to R2,000 crore to pare debt and fund growth. ?Board of directors of the company have approved raising of funds up to R2,000 crore…,? the company said in a BSE filing. Funds up to R400 crore would be raised through issue of shares/warrants on preferential basis to investors and promoters and up to R1,600 crore via issue of shares of different classes on rights basis, it added.

ZTE mulls opening

Chinese telco ZTE plans to open a global network operations centre in India to serve telecom operators of Asia and Africa. Currently, ZTE operates a regional NOC in India and by upgrading it, the company intends to serve its clients (telecom operators) from Indonesia and Malaysia in Asia to Kenya and Nigeria in Africa.

Honda aims to sell 45 lakh motorcycles in FY15

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) plans to sell 45 lakh units in 2014-15, a jump of 21% over the previous fiscal. ?Honda achieved highest ever sales of 37.21 lakh units in 2013-14. The target for the current fiscal is to sell around 45 lakh units with a growth of 21%,? JLR sales increase 20%

in May to 38,831 units

Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover on Wednesday reported a 20% increase in global sales to 38,831 units in May. The Jaguar brand sold 6,450 units, up 4%, while Land Rover sold 32,381 units, a growth of 23 per cent, the company said in a statement. JLR?s sales rose 53% in China, while in North

America it was up 19%, the UK up 15%, Asia Pacific up 11% and Europe up 8%, it said.

Cadila, Zydus ink deal with Warner for Asacol generic

Cadila Healthcare and Zydus Pharmaceuticals said on Wednesday that they have finalised an agreement with US-based Warner Chilcott to settle all outstanding patent litigation related to Asacol, a drug which treats a type of inflammatory bowel disease. Under the deal, Zydus will get a royalty bearing license to sell a generic Asacol from November 15.
