The first shooting schedule of the Arjun Rampal – Jacqueline Fernandez and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Roy was canned smoothly in Mumbai in May. But the team faced a few hiccups while planning the second schedule. However, a spokesperson close to the project confirms that now everything is back on track and the second schedule will kick off in Malaysia on August 12 as planned earlier.
The major portions featuring Rampal and Fernandez will be shot first and Kapoor will join the crew by the end of August or latest by first week of September.
The reason being, Kapoor’s next, Tamasha, with Imtiaz Ali, which has already kicked off in Corsica (France) and he will be busy with that before he joins the shoot of Roy.
However, now with everything falling in place, the team has already finalised locations in Malaysia. Few crucial portions will be shot in Kuala Lumpur. The month-long schedule will ensure the film is complete, with just a few patch up portions, which will later be shot in Mumbai, if needed. Directed by newbie Vikramjeet Singh and produced by T - Series, Roy will hit the screens on February 13, 2015.
