United Spirits Q2 net more than doubles
United Spirits on Saturday said its net profit for the quarter ended September more than doubled, compa-red to the year-ago period, on lower finance costs due to loan repayments, forex gain and growth in its premium brands. The firm reported a profit of R94.27 crore for the quarter as against R39.27 crore in the same period last year. Net sales, however, declined 8%.
J&K Bank Q2 profit up 12% to Rs 303 crore
J&K Bank on Saturday reported 12.2% increase in net profit to R302.66 crore for the July-September quarter. The lender had posted a net profit of R269.53 crore for the same period of the last fiscal. The total income during the quarter increased to R1,749.22 crore, from R1591.51 crore in the year-ago period, the bank said in a filing to the BSE.
JK Cement reports loss on lower income
JK Cement on Saturday reported R21.45 crore net loss for the July-September quarter on lower income and higher finance costs. The firm had clocked R54.09 crore net profit for the same quarter last fiscal, it said in a BSE filing. Total income fell to R626.89 crore.
Dena Bank posts 55% fall in profit
Dena Bank on Friday reported 55.19% y-o-y fall in profit to R107.38 crore for the quarter ended September 30. The bank?s profitability was hit due to higher provisioning for the treasury and rising NPAs. Total income was up 11.69% y-o-y at R2,599.94 crore.
