Kangana Ranaut starrer 'Revolver Rani' got off to a slow start, failing to make much impact with box office collections of just Rs 3.50 crore (approximate) on the opening weekend.
The film managed to collect just Rs 1.50 crore on the opening day, far below '2 States' (released on April 14) collections of Rs 12.42 crore. Kangana Ranaut's earlier film 'Queen' made Rs 1.80 crore on the opening day but picked up later to make Rs 10 crore on the opening weekend.
However, 'Revolver Rani' fared better that other two releases 'Kaanchi' and 'Samrat & Co'.
Though some reviewers have given good ratings to the Kangana Ranaut starrer, the audience turnout has been relatively low. For the other two releases, below average reviews and low key buzz, have severely affected their box office collections.
One reason for 'Revolver Rani' faring better than the other releases could be the recent success of the film's lead actress Kangana Ranaut had with 'Queen'.
On the other hand, last week's release '2 States', featuring Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, has continued its good run with box office collections reaching Rs 76.3 crore.
