R&B star Rihanna's Instagram account was temporarily suspended after a technical issue disabled the page.
The 26-year-old 'Umbrella' hitmaker came under fire last month after she shared risque pictures on Instagram, from her spread in a French men's magazine, in which she was snapped topless, reported Contactmusic.
She was subsequently forced to remove the photographs because they violated the social media company's rules on nudity.
But Instagram bosses insist that had nothing to do with this technical problem.
"This account was mistakenly caught in one of our automated systems and very briefly disabled. We apologise for any inconvenience," said an official statement from the photo sharing website.
Rihanna has 12 million followers on Instagram.
